Why it's worth it
A scarf sewn from a second coat's sleeves — the collar is already doing something no add-on can.
The Edit
Two trench coats went into this one — the second sacrificed its sleeves to become a draped scarf that wraps the collar and hangs open at center front, reshapeable to however much coverage you want. The coat itself is cut with dropped shoulders and generous volume through the body, falling to a midi length with a double-breasted button placket. Dry-clean-only construction signals a workwear-grade cotton shell rather than a casual outer layer.
Insider Tip
The scarf is the same fabric as the coat — wrap it tight for a funnel neck or let it drape open and it reads as a whole separate layer.
