The Drop Edit
Dries Van Noten Gold Feather Brooch

Why it's worth it

A bird sitting on your lapel. Real feathers.

The Edit

A long hat-pin brooch with an antiqued brass bird casting — engraved wing and tail detail, open beak — mounted above a loose spray of real feathers in tricolor red, blue, and natural grey. The needle closes with a smooth ball stopper stamped on the underside. Handmade in Italy; the intentionally distressed gold-tone finish reads more atelier cabinet than costume.

Insider Tip

The long pin length means it works best on structured jackets or thick wool — too fine a fabric and it won't sit straight.
