The Edit

Two completely different fabrics divide this dress at the hip: a matte stretch-jersey bodice shaped with boning-like seaming meets a satin-faced polyester skirt that holds its pannier volume through deep structural pleats. The V-shaped seam at the join is the architectural decision — it draws the eye down from the square neckline and wide straps, through a pinched waist, into the dramatic hip projection below. The skirt falls to midi length without a slit, the pleats locked in place by the stiffness of the shell weave.
