Why it's worth it
The cape and the peplum are one piece of fabric doing two jobs.
The Edit
Box-sharp cape shoulders fold over a mandarin collar and drop into a waist cinched tight by structured taffeta — the peplum then breaks asymmetrically to one side, held only by the fabric's own stiffness. Knotted closures run the center front placket from throat to waist. The black-line scenic print — pagodas, dragons, temple gates — reads like ink on paper across the entire silhouette.
