Jennifer Behr studied sculpture and art history before launching her label in New York in 2005, among the first designers to treat hair accessories as a luxury in their own right.
Early support from New York department stores led to custom headpieces for celebrities and magazine shoots. Jewelry followed, and the pieces are still made by hand in her Brooklyn studio.
