About Miista
Laura Villasenin grew up in Galicia, studied footwear design in London and founded Miista in East London in 2010. She wanted shoes experimental in design and craft at a price people could reach, and found artisan partners in Spain and Portugal willing to try.
Its odd, elegant shapes, from long square toes to sculpted heels and witchy boots, built a cult following. In 2021 it added ready-to-wear, made in its own factory in Galicia.
