Linen is the anchor, in textured European flax for shirts, wide trousers, shorts and dresses, with organic cotton, silk and cashmere for the pieces around them. The cuts are clean and unfussy, each labelled relaxed, regular or fitted, so a shirt works over swimwear by day and with tailored trousers at night. Most of it comes from a factory that makes only for Venroy, in limited runs.

About Venroy
Sean Venturi started Venroy on Bondi Beach in 2010 with a friend, Theo Smallbone, while studying business. The first run was 60 pairs of swim shorts cut above the knee, a European length that stood out on Australian beaches.
In 2015 it pulled out of wholesale to sell direct and rebuilt itself around linen leisurewear. Womenswear followed in 2017, and the feeling of being away on holiday runs through both lines.

Every piece is labelled with its fit, from relaxed to fitted, and many say true to size; a few fitted styles suggest sizing down. Women's sizes run XS to XL, and the charts use hand-measured garments.

Most linen goes in a cold, delicate machine wash; skip the dryer, which the brand warns is likely to shrink it. Silk blends are dry clean only.
