Why it's worth it
Actual scallop shells, not shell-print.
The Edit
Real noble pecten scallop shells — each naturally varied in color and marking — are set in custom gold-tone hardware using fine jewelry techniques, suspended from faceted blue Austrian crystal pear-cut studs via a single turquoise bead connector. Three polished turquoise teardrops hang from the shell's lower edge on fine jump rings, adding movement. Handmade in New York; no two pairs are identical.
Insider Tip
Because shells are natural, the coral tone can range from pale blush to deep orange — worth asking to see your specific pair before it ships.
