Why it's worth it
Black onyx up top, pearl waterfall below — the earring makes the case for both in one drop.
The Edit
Black onyx cabochon set in a bezel-edged rhodium-plated brass mount anchors a polished crossbar from which eight-plus strands of baroque freshwater pearls hang at staggered lengths — the shortest grazing the jaw, the longest falling nearly three and a half inches. Each strand is knotted between individual pearls for structure and drape, while the curled bar ends keep the whole chandelier from shifting forward. The black-to-ivory contrast is stark and intentional, the pearl lustre softening what would otherwise be a very architectural line.
