Strapless brocade with a faux-fur neckline trim that reads like upholstery escaped from a Venetian palazzo — the gold metallic jacquard is woven on a pale sage ground, and the structure holds itself without boning visible from outside. Rear box pleating releases into a voluminous A-line skirt that carries real sweep at the hem. The contrast between the stiff, historically referential textile and the soft fur band at the top is the whole argument of the dress.
