01 Woomin gives minimalism a twist: sheer layers, asymmetric drapes and gathered seams in fine Japanese fabric, with no logo in sight.
The design lives in the cut: pleats, gathers and deconstructed drapes that decide how the fabric falls on the body, mostly in black and white. Fabrics come largely from Japan, with some from Italy, from sheer wool blends to silk georgette and a crease-resistant technical weave, and seams are pressed, lined or bonded so the inside looks as finished as the outside. Pieces are made in Taiwan, and the most involved styles are sewn by hand to order.
Nothing from 01 Woomin is on the site at the moment. We watch their sales — when one lands it shows up in Drops.
Taiwanese designer Hua launched 01 Woomin in 2020. The name plays on being nameless, so the clothes carry no visible labels and let fabric and construction do the talking, starting out almost entirely in black and white.
Its first collections borrowed from the workwear of early 20th-century craftsmen, and the label became known for minimal shapes reworked through pleating, gathering and deconstruction, finished with couture-level care.
From reviews and try-on videos, in our words.
Most cuts are relaxed, and sizes run in numbers from 0 to 3 (XS to L). Each piece has its own chart, measured flat by hand to within about 2 cm, so compare it with something you already own.
Pieces marked made to order are sewn by hand in its studio and take about 4 to 8 weeks. They can't be returned, exchanged or refunded, though the brand adjusts the length for free.
Many styles use a Japanese technical fabric that resists creasing, dries fast and can go in the washing machine, alongside sheer wool blends and pure silk georgette.
Overseas orders arrive in about 5 to 12 business days from Taiwan. US buyers pay any import duties and taxes on delivery, and a refused parcel goes back to Taiwan without being reshipped.
Its returns policy covers orders within Taiwan only, so treat a US order as final sale. Made-to-order pieces can't be returned anywhere.
