Bond-eye makes swimwear in a stretchy crinkle knit that skips sizes altogether, cut in bold retro shapes that flatter a wide range of bodies.
The crinkle is a tubular knit with four-way stretch, so one size moulds to the body and springs back instead of sagging. Cuts lean nineties, high on the leg and low at the back, and most of the swim is knitted from recycled nylon, then sewn and hand-dyed in Sydney, which is why colours vary slightly from piece to piece.

About Bond-eye
Steve Philpott started Bond-eye in Sydney in 2005, after years running design at an Australian activewear company. The name came to him on a ferry in Croatia: a nod to Bondi, his local beach, and to a Bond girl attitude.
The label became known for one idea, swimwear in a crinkle knit that needs no size label, worked into high-cut, nostalgic shapes and made locally in Sydney.

- Fit
Unsized: one size is designed for roughly XS to L, and most crinkle tops and one pieces fit an A to DD/E cup. Bottoms can sit low, mid or high. Lighter tops suit small to medium busts, so look for wide straps or underwire for more hold.
- Support
Editors testing swim for fuller busts found the crinkle surprisingly supportive. The Mara one piece, the brand's own top-selling one piece, has wide straps and a low scoop back.
- Care
Hand wash cold and rinse after every swim. Sunscreen, oils, harsh pool chemicals and rough surfaces are hard on the crinkle, and hand-dyed colours vary a little from piece to piece.
