About Cinq à Sept
Jane Siskin and Jalal El Basri launched Cinq à Sept in New York in 2016, after years of building contemporary labels together. The name is French for five to seven, the hours between leaving work and going out.
They wanted a young, feminine label with a little sexiness for the contemporary market, and it made its name on embellishment and blazers with scrunched sleeves before adding denim and shoes.

Sizes run 00 to 16 (XXS to XL), and the size chart is built on a size-4 model. Reviews we read put its blazers mostly true to size, with a few finding them roomy, so go by the chart rather than your usual size.

Its best-known piece comes back in many versions: plain crepe, denim, vegan leather and beaded or embroidered florals, in a longer cut and the cropped Le Petit cut, all with the same scrunched sleeves.

The tailoring is a drapey crepe of triacetate and polyester, and most pieces are dry clean only. The shoes are leather and made in Brazil.
