About Flabelus
Beatriz de los Mozos founded Flabelus in Madrid in 2020, naming it after herself and two friends, Flaminia and Lucrecia. Her first plan was to bring Venetian slippers to Spain, but she wanted a version she could wear year-round.
She took the idea to Spanish espadrille makers, and the hybrid they built, an espadrille base with a slipper's shape, became the signature. It grew into a full line of flats, later made in the brand's own factory in Elche.
