Mexico City knitwear, coats and leather separates made from hand-felted textiles, where grace meets savage.
Think: felted, fringed, grace-meets-savage
Gabrielle Venguer treats clothes like textile art, felting wool into sheer silk by hand and lacing leather into pieces that change shape.
Each piece starts with material worked in her Mexico City studio: wool pressed into sheer silk until it forms its own pattern, cotton dyed with cyanotype or indigo, leather punched with eyelets and laced with cords so sleeves come off and trousers shorten. Nearly everything is a one-off, and the mood swings between delicate and rough, sensual and strange, which is the point.
Nothing from Gabrielle Venguer is on the site at the moment. We watch their sales — when one lands it shows up in Drops.
Gabrielle Venguer was born in Mexico City in 1991 and trained in London, at Central Saint Martins and then in knitwear at London's Royal College of Art. She started her label in 2020 back in Mexico City, working from her own studio.
Her work sits between fashion and performance: hand-felted fabrics, leather that converts, and collections shown as street performances rather than formal runways, all chasing the tension she calls grace and savage.
From reviews and try-on videos, in our words.
Nearly every piece is a one-off listed in a single size, often M or one size, and the size guide gives no measurements. If yours isn't there, the studio takes custom and made-to-order requests.
Pieces that aren't ready to ship take 2 to 4 weeks to make, then usually 7 to 14 business days to arrive. Photos are shot on film, so colors can look a little different in person; ask and the studio emails extra photos.
All sales are final, since most pieces are handmade one-offs, and custom orders are final too. Size exchanges happen only when stock allows and must be approved first; report damage or a wrong item within 48 hours, with photos.
Dry clean or hand wash cold and skip the dryer. Leather goes to a specialist leather cleaner, fur trims come off to be cleaned separately, and the net-and-shell pieces are spot clean only.
International orders go out by UPS or DHL, and the site offers free shipping over $500. Duties and import fees aren't included and are yours to pay on arrival; refuse the parcel and you still owe the shipping and customs costs.
Gabrielle Venguer doesn't list fiber content, like “100% silk”, on most of its product pages, so we can't say what its pieces are made of. We checked 40 pieces in October 2026.
