Upcycled vintage menswear blazers and suits recut for women, power tailoring that proves borrowed beats bought new.

The buy: the button-back blazer
the button-back blazer
Havre Studio recuts vintage men's suits into oversized blazers for women, so every jacket is one of a kind and tailored to fit.
Each piece starts as a vintage men's jacket, mostly wool, which tailors and dry cleaners in Mexico City clean, repair and reshape: a button-back, a belted waist, or two jackets joined into one two-tone blazer. The shoulders stay big and the waist gets defined, and most pieces are tailored to your measurements at no charge, so the fit is meant to be right the first time.
Madeleine Frandsen, who grew up in Copenhagen, started Havre Studio in late 2019 after moving to Mexico City, where she began having vintage men's suits refitted by a local seamstress.
Friends asked for their own, and it grew into a label built on reworking existing tailoring rather than cutting new cloth, known for big-shouldered blazers and suits with a Scandinavian ease.
From reviews and try-on videos, in our words.
Cut slightly oversized on purpose, so order your usual size; sizes run EU 32 to 46. After you order, the team emails a measuring guide and tailors the piece for free, which adds a few weeks; ready-to-ship pieces skip this step.
Returns are for store credit only, within 7 days and at your own shipping cost, and that includes custom-tailored pieces. Cancellations within 24 hours carry a transaction fee.
US orders go by DHL Express, about 1 to 2 business days once dispatched, with customs and duties already paid; the site offers free shipping over $100.
Pieces are vintage, so expect small signs of earlier wear, repaired where possible, and slight fabric differences from one piece to the next. Dry clean only.
Press has spotted Elsa Hosk, Emily Ratajkowski and Kendall Jenner in its blazers and suits, and since each piece is cut from a single vintage suit, styles tend to sell out fast.
