The signature is leather worked by hand: moccasins sewn the traditional way, loafers and mules in interlaced calf leather, and bags with braided handles or woven panels. Much of the leather is Spanish, from a Galician tannery with a long history, and the workshops behind each piece have handed their skills down for generations, so only a few pieces get made each day.

About Hereu
José Luis Bartolomé and Albert Escribano founded Hereu in Barcelona in 2014, coming back to their Mediterranean roots in Valencia and Mallorca after years working abroad.
The name is Catalan for heir, and the label set out to reinterpret inherited craft, from folk weaving to the classic moccasin, as clean, modern shoes and bags meant to be worn for years and passed on.
