Bold sunglasses and bags in neon brights and sculptural shapes, Australian accessories built for Instagram.
Think: Bold accessories, neon, playful, faux leather.
The buy: the razor-thin sunglasses
the razor-thin sunglasses
Poppy Lissiman makes the sunglasses people stop you to ask about: tiny, angular, razor-slim frames, plus faux-leather bags in bright, offbeat shapes.
The signature is a petite, sharply angled frame with a strong early-2000s streak, cut in acetate (much of it recycled) or fine metal, most with dark lenses that block UV. The bags carry the same sense of fun in faux leather and fabric spun from recycled plastic, since the brand uses no animal materials, and colour is never an afterthought, from candy brights to animal prints.
From 17 months of sale tracking.
Their last sale was 7 weeks ago and they run one about every 25 weeks, so this is the quiet stretch.
Poppy Lissiman, a designer from Western Australia, started her label in Perth in 2008 as a ready-to-wear line, then turned it to eyewear and accessories in 2014 and opened her own online store.
Its breakout was a pair of tiny, angular sunglasses drawn from late-90s sci-fi and the slim flip phones of the early 2000s, which set the brand's tone: playful, colourful and a little left of centre.
From reviews and try-on videos, in our words.
Each sunglasses page lists frame width and height in millimetres (most frames run 140 to 145mm wide), so compare with a pair you own. Acetate can loosen with heat; the brand can talk you through reshaping it.
Most frames have category 3 lenses for bright sun, but a few tinted fashion pairs are a lighter category 1, so check the lens line on the product page. Almost all acetate frames can take prescription lenses from an optometrist.
Faux leather wipes clean with a damp cloth and a little mild soap. Keep sunglasses off hot car dashboards, and keep light-coloured bags away from dark denim, which can transfer dye.
US orders ship by express from Australia, free over $200, and the US store says it covers US tariffs, so the price you see is what you pay.
Full-price pieces can be refunded within 14 days of delivery, at your own postage. Anything bought at more than 10% off gets store credit only, final-sale pieces can't go back, and jewellery can't be returned for a change of mind.
Works most in: synthetics and vegan leather
Poppy Lissiman lists the material on about 58% of its pieces, so this is a partial read.
