Every print begins as a painting by the founder, loose watercolor and ink strokes that she then places on each garment like a canvas. About SIGAL
Sigal Cohen Wolkowiez, a Venezuelan textile designer trained at London's Royal College of Art, launched SIGAL in Miami in 2015 after years of painting prints for other fashion labels.
Her prints draw on marine life, tropical flowers, Art Deco and her Venezuelan roots, and collections arrive when they are ready rather than on the fashion calendar, always in limited runs.

Most styles come in S to L, with some in XS or XL, and sarongs are one size. Wrap and tie styles adjust easily, and each style has its own size chart.

Linen-cotton pieces machine wash cold, inside out; the cotton-silk sarongs need dry or spot cleaning. Swim is recycled polyester with UV protection and should be hand washed.
