About Black Suede Studio
Kris Avakian launched Black Suede Studio in 2019 in Montréal's fashion district. He grew up around his father's accessories business and started the label to fill a gap he saw: comfortable, well-made shoes with real style at a fairer price.
It began with mostly high-heeled evening shoes, then widened into flats, boots and belts for every day, plus a standalone bridal line, all produced in small batches.
