Occasion dresses and bridal gowns in fluid silk, made in Mexico City by a house that treats movement as the design.
Think: Mexican pret-a-couture, bloom in motion
The buy: the ruffled-sleeve silk gown
the ruffled-sleeve silk gown
Kris Goyri cuts silk for movement, so its gowns and sets feel close to couture yet light enough to dance in.
Nearly everything is silk, from crepe and satin to chiffon and organza, cut into one-shoulder, halter and draped shapes that swing as you walk. The details carry the drama: petal shapes at the waist, loops at the sides, billowing sleeves, a cape falling down the back. Pieces are made in Mexico with artisan techniques, and many can be made to measure or in another color.
Born and raised in Mexico City, Kris Goyri won ELLE Mexico's new-talent prize in 2008, at 22, and launched his own luxury label in 2010.
The house became known for fluid silk gowns and sets built around movement, with colors and references drawn from Mexican culture, and its range takes in bridal gowns and made-to-measure pieces.
From reviews and try-on videos, in our words.
Sized XS to L on a centimeter chart, so the range is narrow. Some pieces can be made to measure or in another color, and the house says a finished piece can vary by about an inch, with extra seam allowance left for alterations.
No refunds on regular orders: you have 2 days from delivery to ask for an exchange, you pay the return shipping, and you get a credit code. Sale and made-to-measure pieces can't be exchanged at all.
In-stock pieces ship on the third day after purchase; made-to-order and pre-order pieces ship in the fourth week after payment, so order well ahead of an event.
Express shipping to the US takes 2 to 4 working days. The shipping charge doesn't cover customs, so any US duties or import fees are paid on delivery.
Kris Goyri designed Mattel's special-edition Día de Muertos Barbie in 2024, which sold out online, and has dressed Yalitza Aparicio.
Kris Goyri doesn't list fiber content, like “100% silk”, on most of its product pages, so we can't say what its pieces are made of. We checked 40 pieces in October 2026.
