Muma World turns old botanical drawings and ancient motifs into its own prints, then puts them on silk dresses made for an entrance.
Every print is developed for the label, from vintage botanical illustrations to antique textiles and the imagery of ancient Egypt, and laid out to run the full length of a dress or land exactly on the bodice. About Muma World
Saskia Wotton started Muma World in Sydney with her partner, Dave Frim, first as a beauty line of vegan lip glosses tied to native flowers. The illustrations made for those launches became printed scarves, and then clothes.
The name is a nod to her grandmother, whom she called Mumma. The label became known for bold, story-led prints of flora and fauna on dresses that ask to be styled loudly.
