The buy: the printed silk slip dress
the printed silk slip dress
Realisation Par makes slinky printed silk dresses, often cut on the bias in prints drawn in-house, that go as easily to a party as on holiday.
Every dress is pure silk, mostly crepe de chine in light to heavy weights, with satin and georgette for some styles. The prints are drawn in-house, each hiding a small repeat of the label's own logo, and many pieces are cut on the bias so they skim rather than cling. It releases individual pieces instead of seasonal collections, each meant to be worn for years.

New, soft, vintage-leaning printed silk pieces, exactly what this label does well.
Australians Alexandra Spencer and Teale Talbot started Realisation Par in Los Angeles in 2015 with eight pieces, shot by friends in a backyard. The name is French for made by.
Printed silk slip and wrap dresses became the signature, and the label grew up on social media as one of the early direct-to-consumer dress names.
From reviews and try-on videos, in our words.
Pieces sit close to the body and many are bias-cut, so the brand suggests sizing up if you're between sizes or have a fuller bust. Sizes run XXS to XXL (US 0 to 12), and minis may be short on anyone over 5'9.
The lighter crepe de chine and pale prints can be slightly sheer, and silk can snag on sharp jewelry. Some reviewers find the silk thinner than expected and mention loose stitching, so check pieces on arrival.
