About Aaizél
Minnie Jo, a South Korean-born designer who grew up moving between countries, settled in Melbourne to study fashion and launched Aaizél there in 2016.
From the start she cut most collections from repurposed deadstock and kept the making local, working with small family workshops and the city's last hand pleater. The label became known for shirting that folds East Asian garment construction into European tailoring.
