About Acne Studios
Acne Studios grew out of a Stockholm creative collective called ACNE in 1996. Jonny Johansson, its founder and creative force, started the fashion side with a hundred pairs of raw denim jeans with red stitching, handed out to friends.
The jeans caught on, and the label grew into a full fashion house of tailoring, knitwear, leather, shoes and accessories, with its own magazine, books and furniture shaped by Johansson's interest in art, photography and architecture.
