Vintage-inspired dresses and separates with playful prints and frilly details, London slow fashion that makes joy wearable.
Think: Playful sustainable fashion, quirky prints.
The buy: the frilled big-collar blouse
the frilled big-collar blouse
Damson Madder puts frills, big collars and bright checks on mostly organic cotton, joyful London clothes that still feel easy to wear.
The details carry it: puffed sleeves, peter pan collars, tie bows and contrast embroidery on blouses and dresses, and reversible coats with patterned linings on the outerwear. Underneath sits a careful operation, with nearly all of its cotton organic or recycled, small production runs and audited partner factories, so the playfulness never feels disposable.

It's been 17 weeks since the last one against a rhythm of about every 9 weeks — they're due.
Emma Hill, a fashion buyer worn down by fast fashion's waste, launched Damson Madder in London in April 2020, a week before the first lockdown. The name came from early natural-dye tests, where a plum shade and a madder-plant dye were favourites.
She set out to prove responsible clothes could be bold rather than beige, and the label became known for frilled blouses, bright prints and checks, leopard pieces and reversible outerwear.
From reviews and try-on videos, in our words.
Most pieces are marked true to size, and the US site lists US sizes 2 to 16, though labels arrive in UK sizing. Styles cut oversized say so on the product page.
Shoppers consistently praise the fabrics and make. Most dresses and denim are 100% organic cotton, made in India or Türkiye, and the knitwear is merino or other wool blends.
Production runs are small, a few hundred pieces a style at most, so popular prints sell out; its leopard gilet sold out at pre-order run after run.
US shipping is $12 by FedEx and free over $250, and the brand covers all US duties and tariffs, so only any local sales tax is added at checkout.
Full-price pieces can be returned within 28 days of delivery and sale pieces within 14. A US return label costs $20, while exchanges are free.
