About Khaite
Catherine Holstein launched Khaite in New York in 2016, after an earlier label of her own and years designing for other houses. The name fuses her nickname with a Greek word for flowing hair.
Its first fans came for the jeans, then for a cashmere cardigan that became a cult knit after one much-photographed street-style moment. Bags, shoes and tailoring followed, all built on the same pull between strength and softness.
