Minimalist tailoring and architectural coats in pristine fabrics, the German house that made restraint a luxury.
Think: Pure minimalism, intellectual, structural.

Jil Sander is the house that turned minimalism into luxury: exact tailoring, long coats and clean leather bags in fine materials, with nothing added for show.
The cut carries everything: a coat that falls long and loose or sits slim and straight, a sharp shoulder, a seam placed exactly where it should be. The fabrics are mostly wool, cashmere and cotton, the bags are smooth calf leather, and the pieces are made in Italy, so they look plain from across the room and expensive up close.
From 12 months of sale tracking.
It's been 23 weeks since the last one against a rhythm of about every 7 weeks — they're due.
Jil Sander founded her house in Hamburg in 1968 and showed her first women's collection there in 1973: pared-back, beautifully made clothes for a new kind of working woman.
Menswear followed in 1997 and the house moved its base to Milan, keeping the same idea through several designers: pure form, exact cuts and fine materials, with restraint as the statement.
From reviews and try-on videos, in our words.
Fit depends on the cut, and each piece names it: some coats are oversized and long, others slim and straight. Labels show Italian sizes, so convert with the size guide; the 177 cm model wears IT 42 in an oversized coat.
Every piece we checked on its US site, from coats to bags and shoes, is made in Italy. Its wool coats are dry clean only.
US shipping is $15, free over $300. Orders ship duties unpaid, so any import duties are collected on delivery, and sales tax is added at checkout.
Returns and exchanges are accepted within 14 days of delivery with the label it supplies, tags and seals still attached. Final-sale pieces and fragrance can't be returned.
