About PH5
Wei Lin, whose family makes knitwear, started PH5 in New York in 2014 with designer Mijia Zhang, setting out to run a knitwear lab that would prove knit is more than a winter sweater.
The name comes from the pH scale: if 7 is neutral, a 5 leans a little edgy while staying feminine. Its signature became an asymmetric knit dress with a wavy hem, coded and knitted on advanced machines.
