Bags, shoes and ready-to-wear in saturated color, LA ease with a playful take on luxury.
Think: Retro-inspired, bold colors, playful silhouettes.
The buy: the color-pop bag
the color-pop bag
Simon Miller makes getting dressed feel like play: saturated color, fringe and stripes, and bags shaped like crabs, fish and fruit, all out of Los Angeles.
The bags are the draw: raffia shaped into sea creatures, carved-wood clutches, glass-bead evening bags and tassel-fringed minis, each one a small sculpture you carry. The clothes follow suit, with hand-crocheted dresses, striped poplin and fringe-hemmed knits in bold color, and a pony-hair clog on a rounded sole grounds the look. It wears joyful and a little retro, never precious.

Simon Miller began in Los Angeles as a men's denim label cut from heavy Japanese cotton, with Daniel Corrigan and Jake Sargent credited as its cofounders. Chelsea Hansford, first its brand director, went on to run it as CEO and sole creative director.
Under her the label turned toward women's clothes and accessories. Bags made with her husband, a leather artisan from France, set its playful direction, which grew into raffia animals, beaded clutches and colorful knits.
From reviews and try-on videos, in our words.
Most clothes are marked true to size, and each product page flags the exceptions: some crochet skirts run slightly small and some satin dresses run large. The bubble clogs fit true to size; size down if you're between sizes.
The novelty bags are mostly raffia, satin, glass beads or carved mango wood rather than leather, so they read as statement pieces. The clothes lean on polyester, cotton and viscose, and product pages list everything as imported.
US orders ship by UPS Ground, free over $150 or $9.95 below that. It ships worldwide, with duties and taxes included in the checkout total for international orders.
US refunds on full-price pieces within 14 days of delivery, minus a $7.95 restocking fee (waived for exchanges or store credit). Sale pieces may be final sale or exchange only, and international orders can only be exchanged.
