About Larroudé
Marina Larroudé, a longtime magazine editor and fashion director, and her husband Ricardo Larroudé, who came from finance, built the label at home in New York during the 2020 lockdown, after both had lost their jobs.
She wanted the playful shoes women admire and rarely buy, at a price that makes saying yes easy, and had them made in her native Brazil. The label became known for seventies platforms and bold prints, and went on to open its own factory there.
