About Zimmermann
Nicky Zimmermann started in Sydney, sewing dresses in her parents' garage during the week and selling them at Paddington markets. Her sister Simone joined in 1991, the year the sisters founded the label together.
It made its name on bold original prints and intricate detail, and on an early decision to send swimwear down the runway beside ready-to-wear. The house later took its shows to New York and then Paris.
